Antonio Renda Obituary

Renda, Antonio C., - 53, of Somers Point, passed away unexpectedly on Friday July 21, 2023. Tony was raised in Toms River, NJ and lived there until he met his wife in 1993 and moved to Somers Point. He was in the Army for two years after high school, then became a dealer at Bally's Park Place-which he hated!! He was able to leave Bally's about five years ago and became a man of leisure. Tony had many interest, the main one was working out at the gym. He rarely missed his daily workout and had even been in some natural bodybuilding competitions when he was younger. He liked and owned

motorcycles then traded them in and started buying classic cars. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Jets. He collected comic books and figurines. His favorite character was Wolverine from X-Men. He enjoyed going to the movies and always went with his daughter Katie. He is survived by his wife of 30 years-Michele, his only child Katie, and his sister Dawn Fry. He also had a large extended family with his favorite being his nephews and nieces and his great-nephews and great-nieces. He loved being Uncle Tony. All arrangements are private. Tony will be dearly missed. He was just a great guy!

A gentle giant. Always welcoming to all. Always took the time to say hello to everyone and somehow consistently found the positive in the negative. He will be missed.

Prayers have been sent for Tony and his family! For the over 30 years I have had the pleasure of Tony's friendship...from both the gym, as well as working at Bally's Park Place. He has always been a kind-hearted gentleman, with a good sense of humor and loyal friend. He always spoke very highly regarding his family. Several months ago he brought in nifty little workout apparatus to the gym, I believe his daughter had purchased it for his birthday and had to show everybody how it worked, because he was so grateful for it. I will sincerely miss our magnificent workouts and conversations. In addition, thank you for your courageous service with the US Army. The world is a better place, because you were in it, God Bless your Sweet Soul in Heaven my friend!

Tony your flame was extinguished way too soon. You took such great care of your body (and those efforts were obvious). I believe you look a lot like Aquaman and have the same body....awesome for sure! You will be missed and anyone who knew you were fortunate to have the experience. Your kindness, warmth, caring and compassion were attributes you willingly shared. You and Katie shared many times together and created cherished memories. My heart goes out to Michele, your wife and soulmate who was by your side for over 30 years. Your death has created a void that cannot be filled. I trust heaven will provide you with all that your heart desires. Until we meet again my friend sending you love and kisses.
