Reflections of Life

Antonio DeAngelo Yeary was born August 11, 1966, to the union of Rev. Obie W. Yeary Sr, and Inez P.G.E. Yeary. He departed this life for eternal rest on January 27, 2026. He was a native son of Morristown, TN, and accepted Christ at an early age.

Tony was a multi-talented athlete who excelled in baseball, basketball and football. As a youth, he played on various sports teams and received many awards, ribbons, and trophies. He graduated from Morristown West High School where he led his basketball team as the point guard. After high school, he attended Walters State Community College before joining the United States Air Force (USAF) where he served honorably for 10 years. While stationed in Germany, he was an outstanding member of his Group's basketball team and led them to many victories. He loved basketball. After the USAF, he played as often as possible.

While on active duty in the USAF, his military occupational specialty was Radiologic/Ultrasound Technologist. After separation from the USAF, he continued that skill in the private sector. Post USAF, he earned a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and a certification in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems from Phoenix University.

Though a native son of Morristown, TN, he was a long-term resident of Johnson City, TN. He served 10 years of dedicated service in the USAF. He continued federal service in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology, where he served as a Regional Manager. In 2025, he retired from federal service. He took immense pride in his many years of service and contributions to his country.

His military awards include the Air Force (AF) Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster; AF Training Ribbon; AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster; National Defense Service Medal; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; NCO Professional Military Education Grad Ribbon; AF Outstanding Unit Award with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; and AF Good Conduct Medal with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters.

During his career with the U.S. Department of Veterans affairs, he received several Government Service awards and certificates.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Obie W. Yeary Sr., mother, Inez P. G.E. Yeary; brother Terry A. Yeary; and brother Obie W. Yeary Jr.

Antonio leaves to cherish his memory: Daughters: Savoy I. Yeary, San Antonio TX; Tamiera A. Yeary, Nashville, TN; and Jordyn N. Yeary, Johnson City, TN. Two grandchildren: Saige A. Yeary and Rose A.
