Altus, Oklahoma at the age of forty-eight. April Castillo, born on August 29, 1977, in Altus, was a beautiful soul whose love, strength, and compassion touched everyone who knew her. She was born to Noe Castillo and Minerva Aguilar and carried the values of family, faith, and devotion with her throughout her life.
April grew up in Dallas, in the Oak Cliff community, where she built lifelong friendships and cherished memories. She attended school in Dallas and proudly played the clarinet in the marching band at W.H. Adamson High School. Music was just one of the many ways she expressed her vibrant spirit. She later lived in Tipton before her family relocated to

April worked for many years at McDonald's, where her warm smile and kind heart made a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. Later in life, she embraced the role she cherished most becoming a devoted stay-at-home mother. Being a mother was not just part of her life; it was her greatest calling.
She was a woman who loved deeply and passionately. April poured her entire heart into her son, Elvis Vasquez, who was the center of her world. She was a devoted and selfless mother who consistently put her family and friends before herself. Whether spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, or simply being present, April's joy came from being surrounded by those she loved most.
Raised in the Pentecostal church, April was baptized in her faith and carried her spiritual foundation with her throughout her life. Her faith helped shape the caring, giving woman so many admired.
She is survived by her loving father, Noe Castillo, and stepmother, Theresa Castillo; her beloved son, Elvis Vasquez; her brothers, Noe Castillo Jr. (and wife Michelle Castillo) and Ascension Castillo III; her sisters, Jennifer Bocanegra; Noi Annabelle Salazar (and husband Zachary); Benita Elizabeth Castillo; Cynthia Del Angel (and husband Jarred); and Crystal Del Angel, her partner, Lorenzo Vasquez.
