April Michelle Moreland, 43, of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed away on December 5th, 2025. April was born to Frona Marie Potts (Robinson) and Timothy Dee Moreland, and was lovingly raised by her Godmother Candy Robinson, along with the steady presence of her grandmother, Joyce Robinson.
April spent her life taking care of others. As a CNA, she poured her whole heart into her work, touching countless lives with her compassion, humor, and fierce determination. Caring for people wasn’t just her job, it was who she was.
At home, April was the kind of person who would drop anything to help someone she loved. She adored her grandchildren Journi, Malachi, Rozella, Hezekiah, and Sunday and they were the brightest lights of her life. She loved playing The Sims and Diablo, laughing at her own jokes, going to the casino with her daughters, and simply being surrounded by the people she loved most.
April is survived by her longtime life partner, Kevin Burnett; her children Xavier Williams, Trinity Lee (Moore), Kaiya Jackson, Minnie Moore, King Burnett, Rachel Hollis, and Robert Williams; her siblings Elizabeth Garton, her three stepbrothers, and her stepsister.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son Andru Moreland and her grandmother Joyce Robinson.
April’s life was not always easy, but she met every season with strength, fire, and a heart that never stopped giving. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, blunt honesty, and a family who will miss her every single day.
A graveside service will be held at a later date (TBD)
