April Michelle Wielang

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of April M. Wielang, 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at her home.

She was born April 12, 1978, in Idaho Falls Idaho. She was raised in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She graduated from Idaho State University with a BS degree and graduated from the University of Idaho with a Master of Law degree.

Shortly after graduating, April and the love of her life; fiancé James Herring moved back to Idaho Falls and began practicing law at Cox Ohman & Brandstetter PLLC, where they flourished and honed their skills as attorneys. Eventually they opened their own law practice, Wielang Herring PLLC. Due to health reasons, the practice was later closed.

April is survived by her parents Charles Wielang and stepmother Peggy Wielang, and mother Robyn Wobig and Dave Knudson. She is also survived by two sisters, Karen Ford and Sandy Summers, and three brothers, Rob Wielang, Nathan Wobig and Eric Ford. April’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the band shelter in Freeman Park, 1290 Science Center Drive, Idaho Falls. Come share your remembrances with friends and family. Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
