Arabella Baker Silvers (Arie) was born to the late Clarence and Berdie Baker on March 1st, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this earthen vessel on Sunday, October 12th, 2025.
Born fourth of fifteen children, AraBella made her entrance into this world being the first girl child with three older brothers. Soon after, she became "Big Sister Arie" to her remaining eleven younger siblings preparing her for her future role as the Matriarch. Throughout her childhood, AraBella was a very outgoing, social butterfly. Her formative years were spent at Enunciation Catholic School, graduating from Cardinal Glennon High School Class of 1971. After attending St. Luke's School of Nursing with a short stent as a CNA, she decided to make a pivot in her career thus starting her professional path as the ultimate "Jack of All Trades".
With her sense of style and elegance from her mother and maternal/paternal aunts, she worked at Brooks Brothers and Hartzfeld on the Plaza which propelled her love for all things fashion and beauty, to include modeling. From there, Arie transitioned into Cosmetology, under the tutelage of Penny Ward – Bledsoe at Sheer Fancy Salon for ten years. Switching it up again, she held various administrative roles such as Unified Government Police Administration. Having a passion for Education and children, she worked multiple years for The Boys and Girls Club of America. Arie joined Edison Schools for five years then transitioned to Charter Schools of America/Academy of Kansas City until her health declined in 2006, ending her professional journey at the IRS in August 2025.
From a small child, Arie has always had a relationship with God and a love for the Church. During her youth, she began her journey with God at Enunciation, St. Monica and Risen Christ Catholic Churches. Wanting to deepen her spiritual walk, with the help of Twana Hall – Scott, she became a long-time member of Bethel AME Church, singing with the world-renowned Voices of Bethel Choir. In 1994, after visiting a noon day bible study, Arie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at Greater Pentecostal Costal Temple and never looked back. She served in ministry at GPT for over 23 years to include the Bereavement Committee, Children's Church, Dance Ministry, Anniversary Committee and founding member/Den Mother for the Boys Scouts at GPT.
She was proceeded in the death by her youngest son: Ahmad Raheem Frazier.
her parents: Clarence W Baker, Berdie L Baker. Her brothers: Alfred Dennie, Sonny Miller, George Baker, Michael Baker. Her sisters: Elizabeth (Liz) Bruce and Lori Zena Baker.
She is survived by her three beloved children Anique Monae Frazier (Walter), William D. Baker (Amy) and Arianna Kelley (James). Her eight loving siblings: Mary Pearison, Burt Baker (Cleola), Jerome Queen, Terri D. Baker, John Baker, Ozell Baker, Angela Baker, Gene Parnell (Lennie). Her nine precious grandchildren: Britainee Baker (Rashad), Jeilyn Mackey-Baker (Chonte), Jariel Frazier, Joshua Kelley (Rhianna), Zena Frazier, Onna Baker, Jeremiah Kelley (Shaniya), Dom Baker, James "BJ" Kelley, Remy Baker and three adorable great grand blessings: Jiraiya Mackey-Baker, Jabari Mackey-Baker, and Arya Mackey-Baker along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members and close friends. Yesterday

To the Family of Arabella Silvers. Our hearts are saddened by the loss of your loved one. We realize grief and sorrow may grip your hearts, so we encourage you to look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith. When sorrow stirs your heart, think of the precious memories God bestowed upon you, then trust in the Almighty God to restore your joy in His own time, and His own way. Arie as we all know her will certainly be missed, but continue to stay together under the umbrella of God's grace. We will pray for you, and beseech you keep trusting in our Heavenly Father who will always see you through. Forever remembering Arie. The Toombs Family.
