Funeral Service for Arcilia Elizardo will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Pastor Daniel Bernal officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and a prayer service held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Primera Iglesia Bautista.
Arcilia was born on January 5, 1947, to Santiago and Guadalupe Rodriguez in Robstown, TX. She passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 77.
Arcilia dedicated 33 years of her life as an ELS teacher for Brownfield Independent School District. She was known for her passion for teaching and touched the lives of countless students throughout her career.
Outside of her profession, Arcilia had a deep love for travel, exploring new destinations and experiencing different cultures. Her adventurous spirit led her to embark on unforgettable journeys, creating cherished memories along the way. In her leisure time, she found solace in the art of quilting, crafting beautiful pieces that displayed her creativity and attention to detail.
Arcillia was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Guadalupe Rodriguez; and 2 sisters, Alice Villalobos and Guadalupe "Lupita" Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Perez; 2 sons, Ernesto Elizardo, and Daniel Elizardo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Louisa Garcia and Santiago Rodriguez, Jr.
