Ardellis Parker, born on August 25, 1940, in Washington, D.C., to the late Douglas Freeman and Livonia Parker, passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was the second of seven children. She was preceded in death by her sisters Leary Bell Parker and Livonia “Jean” Bass; her brother Jerry M. Parker; her son Douglas Parker; and her daughter Norma Jean Parker.
Ardellis grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended the Cleveland Schools. She gave her heart to Christ at an early age and was a faithful attendee of the City Mission, where her love for the Lord began to flourish.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Maxcine Garrison and Mary Alice Land; one brother, Robert Parker; one sister-in-law, Mary Elaine Parker; her son, Eugene “Snookie” Parker; her daughter, Darlene Parker; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.
Ardellis will be remembered for her faith, her kindness, and her deep love for her family.
Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 2 p.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 2:30 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111.
