Ardemia "Ardi" Matilda Cicci, age 90, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Cicci. Loving and devoted mother of Josephine (John) Neff and the late James Cicci. Cherished grandmother of Natalie (Shane) Irvine, Jenna Cicci, Jacob McColeman, Robert Neff, and the late Nathaniel Prill. Proud great-grandmother of Piper and Nicholas. Dear daughter of the late Abramo and Abina Sbrissa. Loving sister of Bruno and Sylvia, and the late Frank, Nives, and Vilma.
Ardi was born in Udine, Italy, and in 1952 immigrated to the United States aboard a ship that took ten days to reach her new home. Her family settled in Detroit, where she later met her husband, Joseph, at a dance through mutual friends. They were married in 1957, beginning a loving partnership that lasted many years.
She attended Virginia Farrell Beauty School and became a hairdresser, a talent she continued to share with others through a basement studio in her home for many years. Later in life, Ardi worked as a bilingual teaching aide for Warren Consolidated Schools, where she proudly supported students and families.
A longtime resident of Sterling Heights since 1965, Ardi took great pride in her home and family. She loved cooking, and her Italian meatballs were a favorite among generations. In her spare time, she enjoyed china painting and bowling, achieving the impressive milestone of a perfect 300 game. She was a dedicated member of the Venetian Women's Club since 1974.
Ardi also loved tending to her flower gardens, sewing clothing and draperies, and making her home warm and beautiful. She and her husband shared a joy of travel, visiting destinations throughout the United States, taking a cruise together, and traveling to Europe with their family in 1996.
Ardi will be remembered for her strength, creativity, generosity, and devotion to her family and heritage.
Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m., at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile Road,
