Ardis Bender Obituary
Ardis and the family moved to Janesville in 1958. She was employed for 27 years by Seneca Foods. In retirement Ardis enjoyed playing cards and quilting. She especially enjoyed her Monday afternoon quilting group. Ardis was an avid bowler and continued bowling into her 80's. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Ardis is survived by three children; Glen Bender, Jim (Shirley) Bender, Kathy Almond; daughter-in-law, Pat Bender; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Bender, Carrie (Pedro) Guzman, Dr. Tasha Almond, Todd (Carrie) Almond; seven great-grandchildren and her friends in Sarah Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Bender on March 19, 2010. Her son Bill "Waldo" Bender, daughter-in-law, Sheila Bender, her parents, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Ardis' family wishes to extend a special thank you to SSM Health Hospice, especially her nurse, Sharon, for the wonderful care they gave her.
Funeral services will be at Noon Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Rev. Steve Scott will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to Noon June 3rd at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME. Private entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum.
