Ardis Marie (Rendahl) Hoffer passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 28, 2025 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on her grandparents' farm near Max, ND to Ted and Lenore (Thompson) Rendahl on August 27, 1939. She graduated from Minot High School in 1956. Ardis married Ervin Hoffer on October 17, 1956, in Minot, North Dakota. They went to live in Fort Lee, Virginia, where Ervin was stationed in the Army. Daughters Doris and Bonnie were born while Ardis was a proud Army wife. The family also lived in Germany while Ervin was in the military. Ervin retired from the Army and the family moved back to Minot in 1970. Daughter Nancy was born there in 1971. While in Minot Ardis worked at Medical Arts Clinic while Ervin worked civil service.

Ardis and Ervin moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978. Ervin was retired, while Ardis worked for General Tire and then Federal Signs. Following Ervin's death in late 2018 Ardis lived for a while near Nancy in Las Vegas. She then lived with daughter Doris in Mountain Home and daughter Bonnie in Round Rock.

Ardis was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was a member of the altar guild.

Ardis was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Audrey Scofield, her husband Ervin, her beloved aunt and uncle Gladys and Dan Flath, her grandson Thomas Plasterer, and granddaughter Jessica Henson. She is survived by her three daughters Doris Knight (Rick) of Mountain Home, Idaho, Bonnie Brinkley of Round Rock, Texas, and Nancy Tucker of Las Vegas, Nevada, granddaughter Melinda Johnson (Cam Klar) and grandson Christopher Altamirino of Las Vegas, grandsons Tyler Ranous and Shane Brinkley (Liberty) of Texas, as well as four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
