Arkadiusz "Arek" Rapior, 67, passed away in his home on Saturday evening, October 11, 2025, wrapped in the love of his wife Agnes and daughter Katie. Though his physical journey has ended, the energy and laughter, he shared with the world will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Arek was a man who truly lived. He had a magnetic personality-always the life of the party, always ready with a story, joke, toast or a dance. Whether he was soaking up the sun at his favorite beach spots or cheering on the Vols at a UT football game, he had a gift for turning strangers into lifelong friends. His joy was contagious, and his presence lit up every room he entered.

Arek is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Agnes Pelczar; his daughter Katie Haynes; his cherished granddaughters Addison and Emery Haynes; his son-in-law David Haynes; and many close family members in Poland who held a special place in his heart. We are certain he's already making new friends wherever he is!

A celebration of Arek's life will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 12-2pm at Companion Funeral Home, 6018 John Douglass Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

In lieu of flowers, Arek would have loved for donations to be made in his name to your favorite local animal shelter-he had a soft spot for furry friends.
