Fischer Funeral Home - WarsawCOSHOCTON- L. Arlene Hardesty, 97, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 4, 1927 in Conesville to the late Carl and Evelyn (Holdsworth) Moore. Arlene married Ray Hardesty Jr. on May 10, 1943. They had been married 60 years at the time of his death on September 26, 2003.
She retired from Ansel Edmont’s after 36 years. Upon her retirement from Edmont’s, she became the kitchen manager at The Warehouse Restaurant. Arlene attended and supported the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene her entire life. She loved her family, doing puzzles, working in her flowers, collecting churches and angels, baking pies and cooking for her family.
Arlene is survived by their three children, daughters Judy Hardesty and Sue (Craig) Patterson, and a son, Tom (Beverly) Hardesty, all of Coshocton; three grandchildren, Brittany (Dan) Dedels of Worthington, Rod (Denise Jones) Hardesty of Canal Winchester, and Rhonda (Wayne) Simpson of Dawson Springs, KY; six great grandchildren, Danny and Addy Dedels, Abby and Emily Hardesty, Dylan (Gabby) Simpson, and Kaylee Simpson; three great great grandchildren, Cameron, Finley and Axton; and her sisters-in-law, Lola Severns and Vera Hardesty.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Ray and Etta (Ogle) Hardesty; a sister, Betty Brink; and two brothers, Donald and Ronald Moore.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. FischerFuneralHome.com
