Arlene Herman, lovingly known as Mommom, passed away surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and unwavering love. She was the heart of her family, a steady source of laughter and comfort, a constant reminder of what it means to care deeply.

Arlene was the beloved wife of Al Herman and the cherished mother of two daughters, Patti and her husband Scott, and Sheri and her husband Nino. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren: Scott and Candace, Danielle and Justin, Joey, and Gianna. She was also blessed to witness the next generation grow, as the proud great Mommom of Riley and Greyson.

Arlene is survived by her brothers Danny, Michael, Dave, and Dennis, along with her lifelong friend Natalie, who stood beside her through every season of life. She now reunites in eternal peace with her mother, Helen, and her siblings Chester, Patti, Joanie, and Ray.

Mommom will be remembered for the warmth she brought to every moment and the love she poured into her family. Her meals were a comfort and tradition - beloved by all, including the dogs who faithfully hovered at her feet in hopes of a scrap. Sunday dinners will forever be touched by her absence, her laughter now a memory held close. She was always beautifully put together, her bouncy hair and red lips, a reflection of the pride she took in caring for herself and others. The joy she carried, the stories she shared, and the life she filled with love will continue to shine through her family.

Family and friends may visit at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Cremation will be private.
