Arlene Mary Linn

Arlene Mary (R.) Linn passed away on October 26, 2025 at the age of 98. Arlene was born in North Prairie, WI, on August 17, 1927, and had a happy childhood growing up in Belleville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ethel Rolfe, her sister, Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Johnson, her husband, Dr. Robert H. Linn, her daughter-in-law, Karla Linn, and her niece, Pam MacMurdie.

Upon her marriage to Robert, a widower, she was welcomed into his family and regarded Robert’s two adult sons, as well as their spouses, children, and grandchildren as her own. They are Robert Linn, Jr. (Karla) and Steven Linn (Lynne Kroll); three granddaughters, Jen Joswiak, Molly Linn-Miller, and Haylie Linn; and six great-grandchildren. Arlene was also much-loved by her nieces, Joni Page and Jennifer Steed, and nephew, Eric Johnson, and their extended families.

Arlene lived her adult life in Madison, WI. She had a positive outlook, was very personable, energetic, and well-liked by many. She was an avid golfer and a member of Blackhawk Country Club. Arlene enjoyed travel in this country and abroad for business and leisure. She loved to gather with family and friends and had a delightful time at her 98th birthday party. Arlene resided recently at All Saints Memory Care and received wonderful care by the staff and by Agrace Hospice Care.

Arlene was a longtime devoted member and an Elder of Christ Presbyterian Church in Madison where she participated in many charitable and social activities with members who became good friends. 

In celebration of Arlene’s life, a service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 944 East Gorham Street, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service at 10:00 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, and if desired, please make donations to Agrace Hospice Care (www.agrace.org/donate/) or a charity of choice in remembrance of Arlene. 

She will be greatly missed.
