Arlene Lorraine Trolley, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Belleville, Michigan, at the age of 95. Born on March 19, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, Arlene lived a life full of love, service, and creativity.

Arlene was a devoted homemaker and caregiver, selflessly dedicating her life to caring for her husband, her mother, and her mother's brother. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she became a grandmother to all who knew her.

With an eye for design and a passion for fashion, Arlene was known as a fashionista who always dressed impeccably, matching every detail with flair. Her creativity shone through in her love for decorating and in the warmth of her beautifully adorned home. She was also a talented cook, whose culinary skills delighted family and friends alike.

Arlene's deeply caring nature and heart of gold endeared her to everyone she met. As the first First Lady of Taylor, Michigan, during her husband Richard's tenure as mayor, she was cherished by the community and made lasting friendships wherever she went. Her presence was uplifting, and her radiant smile could light up any room.

Very religious, Arlene found solace in her faith and was devoted to praying the rosary. Family was always her top priority, and she instilled this value in her children and grandchildren, creating a legacy of love and devotion that will endure for generations.

Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Trolley, and her parents, Dorothy and John Zielin. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children Deborah (Michael) McMaster, Pamela Trolley, and Paula (Mark) Vitale; her grandchildren Kristin (Tom), Talia, Kara (A.J.), Nicholas, and Samantha (Tony); and her great-grandchildren Callan, Griffin, Sloane, Fiona, and Oliver.

Arlene Lorraine Trolley will be remembered as a pillar of strength, grace, and kindness. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.

Services will be scheduled at a later date.
