Arlene Warr Obituary
Arlene Joanne Warr
September 20, 1940 - November 21, 2024
Arlene Jo Anne Klauser Warr passed away peacefully of natural causes, in her home, on November 21, 2024.
Arlene was born on September 20, 1940, in Toppenish Wash., to mother, Helen Uhrich Klauser and father, Edward Klauser. Arlene, the second of four siblings, grew up in and attended elementary school in Paul, Idaho, and she attended High School at Minico High in Rupert, Idaho.
In 1957, Arlene married Robert "Bob" Symons, and they had a daughter, Terri. She married Lloyd "Tink" Warr in 1960, and they also had a daughter, Tamara Rae.
Arlene worked for various businesses in her early life, excelling in clerical and bookkeeping positions, but her biggest focus was always on her family and home making. She was a busy mother, involved in PTA and Girl Scouts, and shuttling her girls to dancing, music and art lessons. She and Lloyd built a lovely custom home in Heyburn, Idaho, and she delighted in decorating it with many personal touches.
Arlene always stayed close to her sisters and brothers and their extended families as well. She kept track of what everyone was doing and where they were going and quite often documented this activity with photographs, creatively organized in albums.
She was an adventurous and creative cook and loved to concoct original dishes. She enjoyed painting, crafting, reading, and music. She was an avid golfer for many years of her life and she got out and saw a bit of the world too: the western coast, Hawaii and New Orleans to name a few of the places she visited.
Arlene was also a loving and devoted caregiver, to her daughter Tami. She took care of Tami and kept her in the comfort of her home well into her 70s. Over the years, she and Tami had many fun times together, going to concerts, the horse races, and taking road trips. They also cared for and enjoyed several beloved pets over the years, Sony Boy, Moxie, and Elvis Presley.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; as well as sister, Carol Klauser Reidlinger Lieby; brothers, Ron and Dennis Klauser; nephew, Burton Reidlinger; and niece, Lynn Reidlinger.
She is survived by her daughters, Tami Warr (Buhl), Terri Symons DeMun (Hailey); grandchildren, Melissa Rushton (Boise), Luke Ramsey (Hailey); and great-grandchildren, Parker and Dillon Rushton (Boise), and Luna and Waylon Ramsey (Hailey); as well as nephew, Darrion Klauser and wife, Leah (Astoria Ore.); and sister-in-law, Judy Klauser (Ellisville, Mo.)
It was Arlene's wish to be cremated and her ashes interned at the cemetery in Paul, Idaho. A celebration of her life and internment will take place in the springtime.
