LARKSVILLE — Arline Catherine Wallace, formerly of Larksville, passed away peacefully on Sept. 5, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Township.
The daughter of John Dzurko and Josephine (Gimble) Dzurko, of Kingston, Arline was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leo T. Wallace; her daughter Judith Malacarne and Judy's husband, Paul Malacarne; her daughter, Michele Zimmerman; her brother, Thomas Dzurko (LCDR USN RET) and Tom's wife, Linda; her sister, Dolores Dorak and Dolores' husband John.
She is survived by her son, Attorney Leo Wallace and his wife Leslie; granddaughter Nicole Lewis and her husband, Tim; her grandsons: Dr. Calum Wallace, and Vincent Malacarne.
Arline graduated from Kingston High School in 1952, where she enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball. She took extreme pride in her collection of over 500 salt and pepper shakers from around the world. Arline enjoyed watching classic movies, listening to music of the '40s, and, in addition, the music of Englebert Humperdink. Following her retirement, Arline volunteered extensively with her church, St. John the Baptist Larksville, making countless pierogies and working many parish bazaars. And from spring until fall Arline could be found watching and supporting her favorite Philadelphia Phillies.
Private funeral services will be held from Andrew Strish Funeral Home, Larksville, with a funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville, and internment at St John's Cemetery, Dallas.
