Arlington Harbeck Obituary
WESTLAND, Mich. - Arlington L. Harbeck Jr., born on August 24, 1928, in Normansville, N.Y., passed away on November 19, 2025.
Arlington attended Bethlehem Central Schools, and graduated from the College of Saint Bernardine of Siena (now Siena University). He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman 1st Class and as a volunteer fireman at Roosevelt Engine Company #3 in Hyde Park, N.Y.
After transferring to Michigan with the Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys), he rose to the position of International Data Processing Manager, which enabled him to travel the world.
He was a longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Plymouth Mich., where he had served as an Elder. He enjoyed swimming, golfing, playing baseball and tennis, and camping. He was also known for his skill at repairing clocks.
Arlington is survived by his wife Margaret Harbeck; children Karl Harbeck, Jill Harbeck, Keith Harbeck and Greg Harbeck; his sister Ann Pfeiffer; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Being a veteran, he was buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich.
