Armand Sella Obituary
He was born on October 20, 1936 in Passaic, NJ. He spent his childhood in Paterson, NJ and lived in Oakland, NJ for many years before moving to Alexandria Twp., NJ in 1980.
He was the son of the late George and Leonore Koch Sella.
Armand was the husband of Dorothy M. Harris Sella, celebrating 67 years of marriage.
He was the Warehouse Manager at White Stone Products in Piscataway, NJ where he worked until his retirement.
Armand was very involved with Boy Scouts as a Leader for 14 years in Oakland, NJ. He also was an assistant Girl Scout Leader for many years. He also enjoyed coaching soccer years ago. He was very active in management of the Drum Corps for the Oakland Rangers.
As a young man Armand served as an altar boy in his local parish in Paterson, NJ.
Armand loved raising vegetables in his greenhouse. He also raised sheep on his property in Alexandria Twp. He was passionate about wood-turning and designed many pieces including bowls that his family enjoyed. Years ago, he also enjoyed hiking with his father.
Armand loved to travel. He traveled with his wife in their camper across the country and especially loved their 3 month trip to Alaska for their 50th wedding anniversary.
He will always be remembered for being an avid Eagles fan.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include three sons; Gregory A. Sella and his wife Tricia of the Adirondacks, NY, Stewart W. Sella of Palm Springs, CA, and Thomas W. Sella and his wife Dawn of Hackettstown, NJ. One daughter; Lisa M. Peterson and her husband Robert of Lawrenceville, NJ. Nine grandchildren; Christopher, Kimberly, Danielle, Emily, Stewart, Rebecca, Matthew, Brandon and Amanda. Nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved dog; Molly.
Predeceased by one granddaughter; Megan Sella.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 2-4pm with funeral service at 4pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment will be private.
Memorials can be made to the Pattenburg Rescue Squad, 590 Pattenburg Road, Asbury, NJ 08802.
