Armando G. Calvarese

Armando G. Calvarese, age 79 of Avondale, died Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ruth Donnelly Calvarese who died in 2004 and with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in West Chester he was a son of the late Gaspare and Flavia Mattioni Calvarese. Armando served our country in the Merchant Marines during WWII and sailed the 7 seas. For many years Armando worked as a craftsman in the home restoration business. Some of the joys in his life were his love of Italian foods and spending time with his family. Survivors include: Two sons: Michael A. Calvarese of West Grove, PA and Thomas G. Calvarese of Wilmington, DE. Two Daughters: Amy Beeman of Cochranville and Wendy F. Calvarese of Avondale, PA. One Brother: Mario Calvarese of Toughkenamon One Sister: Emma Bagnato of Kennett Square Two grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a sister Sylvia Leonzis. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30AM Friday December 30, 2005 at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Rt 41), Avondale PA 19311. Friends and family may call from 7-9PM Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the Kuzo and Grieco Funeral Home (610-444-4116) 250 West State St. Kennett Square, PA 19348 and from 9:30-10:30 AM before the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick�s Cemetery.
