Armando A. Gauna, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Slaton, Texas. Born on September 16, 1964, to Juan and Juanita Gauna.
Armando was a proud father to Amanda Gauna and her husband Efrain, Blanca Gauna, Armando Gauna Jr., Juan Gauna, and Richard Gauna, and wife Jennevie. His children were the light of his life, and he dedicated himself to nurturing them with boundless love and encouragement.
As a grandfather, Armando's heart expanded even further. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren and a great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He cherished the moments spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Armando's siblings—Jesse Gauna, Alejandro Gauna, and Yolanda Gauna—shared a deep bond with him, supporting one another through the joys and challenges of life. They will forever hold his memory close, remembering the laughter and stories that defined their childhood together.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Juan Gauna and Juanita Aguilar Gauna, who instilled in him the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience. Armando’s legacy continues through those lessons, echoing in the lives of his children and grandchildren. The loss of his daughter, Rachel Gauna, along with his cherished grandchildren Averie, Gionnie, and Angel Gauna, brought him profound sorrow, and while he grieved their absence, he kept their memories alive in his heart.
Armando also shared a special connection with his late siblings, John Gauna and Guadalupe Gauna, whose spirits live on through the stories and traditions they shared as a family.
Throughout his life, Armando touched the hearts of many with his kindness and generosity. He was known for his radiant smile and unwavering spirit, always ready to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. His laughter was infectious, bringing joy to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In the quiet moments of reflection, as we remember Armando, we celebrate a life well-lived—a man who loved fiercely, lived authentically, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of sharing in his journey on this Earth.
