Dear Mrs. Archerd: you and your husband spent so much time in and around this country's "beautiful people". In spite of so much acting, it is so encouraging to read that you and your husband have real love between you. I know he will be missed. And, please remember that the God of Comfort also knows what you are going through. Take care.

To the family: May the comfort from family and friends continue to strengthen you, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Those we love left us with gifts that no one can take away. They gave us wisdom, friendship, advice, comfort when we needed it, and memories of their laughter and smile. These are gifts of love that are ours to keep. Although I don’t know the family I would like to send my condolences to you. May the tender mercy that God has always shown be with your family now so you will know that you are not alone. And may the prayers of others help in some small way to bring you strength, comfort and courage each day. Many words will be expressed, yet we know God can express and provide to you and your family everything that is needed to care and sustain your hearts at this time. - Isaiah 41:10 & 13.

Dear Army, Mostly I remember your wonderful sense of humor and how you really loved people from your heart. You were an amazing and gifted man. Take care of the Bob Stivers gang until we get there to join you. Love and fond remembrances, -kac young

Always liked Army Archerd. He was of an age of good manners and taste. Seemed like a sweet man who never abused his power. Prayers to the family.

I was lucky to give Mr. Archerd a tour of a movie set I was associate producer on and he was so kind and wonderful, and how thrilled was I to see my name in his column when he wrote about the film! His charm and wit will truly be missed. There's one more star shining bright in the sky now.

Dear Archerd family,

I extend my heartfelt sympathy regarding your husband's, father's, and grandfather's death. My late, Dad, Matty Brescia, was also a Variety correspondent for many years and spoke so highly of Army. I just returned from 4 years in Germany and while there, I was in email correspondence with Army. He was very kind and spoke indeed highly of my beloved Dad. My Dad thought he was the best and my Dad had great taste in friends! God bless all of you.

He lived next door to me for many years and was a great neighbor. We lost contact after he moved, but I followed his columns. He will be missed, my condolences to his family.

As I was growing up I knew that if I wanted the "straight poop", the honest truth, I went directly to Army. My sympathies to his family.

So sorry to hear of Army Archerd's passing. He was a Hollywood institution. I remember him from a game show in the early 70s called the Movie Game Show with Larry Blyden.

Our Heavenly Father assures us that He will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more. I offer my sincere condolences to you all.
