Arnold C. Beatty

Arnold Chester Beatty, known to some as "Lil Man" was born November 9, 1950, in Newton County, Texas to Birk Warren Beaty and Jessie Mae Samuel Beaty. He was a graduate In Newton County, and worked as a logger. Mr. Beatty departed this life Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in a Dequincy hospital. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rev. Genevia Beatty; daughter, Netta Beatty; two sons, Arnold (Tinashe) Beaty Jr. and Patrick (Dina) Beaty; two sisters, Debbie Faye Davis and Bertha Lee Gosey; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Thompson; parents, Birk and Jessie Mae Beaty; sisters, Zella Mae Beaty, Alice Faye Bennett, and Christine Marie Beaty; and brothers, Linburge Beaty and Howard Beaty. His visitation will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. with his funeral following at 12:00 noon, at Bethel AME Church located at 511 S. Grand Avenue in Dequincy. Pastor Valencia Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home
