I worked at CWRU in the Physics Dept. from l974-2006. I remember Dr. Dahm very well. He was always kind and considerate of the staff. He always had a happy smile for everyone. He will be missed. Angie Amato Cadwallader.

I am so sorry to learn of this. I remember remarkably clearly when, as an untenured junior faculty member Arnie's post-doc walked into my office and asked me a question. My eyes bugged out as I suddenly realized that a the prior experiment we were thinking of expanding had been misinterpreted. Sigh. Not the kind of thing you want to tell anyone, let alone someone who was going to contribute to your promotion discussion. I quickly learned that Arnie was a gentleman and a scholar. I have and will miss him.

I had the privilege of knowing Arnie for some time, and I'll forever credit Susan and him for ensuring my life in Cleveland Heights was full and enjoyable. Arnie possessed and enacted a wondrous combination of integrity, imagination, and kindness. The world was better for his presence, and he will truly missed.
