Arnold Raymond Drtina, 94, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jean Drtina.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Arnold was the son of the late Arnold Joseph Drtina and Lillie Anna Raff Drtina, and grew up in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia.

After graduating from high school, Arnold began an over forty-year career with the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania, first installing dials in pay phones, then climbing telephone poles as a lineman, and eventually working as a deskman, troubleshooting telephone communication issues. After retiring from Bell Telephone, he drove a school bus for several years for the Pennridge School District.

Arnold was a Military Veteran, who, during the Korean Conflict in the early 1950s, served as a Corporal in the United States Army. He was stationed at the Eniwetok Attol in the North Pacific Marshall Islands, where he participated in the Armed Forces Atomic Bomb tests of Operation Castle.

Arnold was a member of Penn Valley Church in Telford, and enjoyed working on cars, electronic and mechanical engineering projects, audio and video recording projects, and fellowship with friends and neighbors.

Arnold is survived by his children, Jon Drtina and Thomas Drtina, and his stepchildren Lori Hoffert, Douglas Gruver, Brian Gruver, and Ronald Gruver, along with his many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Drtina, and his stepdaughter, Karen Fly.

Services will be private. Burial will take place in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
