My deep and late condolences to the family. I am a PhD candidate studying phospholamban and I'm grateful for carrying on his beautiful scientific legacy. I am grateful to have read about him, he truly was an impeccable scientist.

Dr. Arnold Katz was, and still is, a strong support to my research, teaching and practice as a cardiologist through his books and publications in journals. I had the chance to say this to him some years ago during an international meeting and today I respect his memory and remain gratefully for him.

A brilliant mind, and a good friend, Arnold was a fine example of the blend of basic and clinical science. His teaching style can hardly be emulated. He will be dearly missed. Our prayers and best wishes to the rest of the family to withstand the loss.
