Arnulfo Gonzales, a cherished and beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on December 9, 1948, in Kingsville, Texas, Arnulfo dedicated his life to his family and his work, leaving a legacy of love and commitment that will never be forgotten.
Arnulfo worked for 32 years at Rexam before retiring in Houston, Texas. His unwavering dedication to his career was matched only by his devotion to his family. He was a hardworking man who took immense pride in providing for and guiding his loved ones. As a husband to Karen C. Gonzales for 55 wonderful years, he cherished every moment spent together, building a foundation of love that would support their family for generations.
Arnulfo's life was characterized by his many passions. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and had a unique talent for interior decorating. He took great care in maintaining his yard, finding joy in nurturing the beauty around him. Cooking was another of his cherished hobbies, as he loved to share meals with family and friends. Most of all, Arnulfo found joy in recounting his life stories to his children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values and morals he held dear as a man of God.
A devoted husband, he is survived by his beloved wife Karen C. Gonzales. He is also survived by his two sons, Arnulfo Gonzales Jr. and Julian (Jessica) Gonzales, his daughter, Connie Francis (Jose) Dominguez-Martinez, and his sister Severa Perez. He was a proud father-in-law to Steven Solis Sr. and was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Arnulfo is preceded in death by his father, Rafael Gonzales; mother, Francisca S. Gonzales; one son; one daughter; one granddaughter; and numerous siblings, including three brothers and six sisters. Although they are no longer with him, he leaves behind a rich legacy woven into the fabric of his family.
Services honoring Arnulfo Gonzales will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, TX. Visitation will take place on February 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held the following day, February 21, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery at 11:15 AM.
His hard work, dedication, and love for his family will continue to resonate through the hearts of all who knew him, along with all the joy and warmth that he brought to their lives. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whom he inspired throughout his remarkable life.
