Arquin Pacheco Obituary
Arquin Pacheco, a resident of Truchas, New Mexico, passed away on January 11, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mabel Pacheco, Parents Cipricio Pacheco and Andelicia Trujillo, brothers Clarence Pacheco, Melaquis Pacheco, and Charlie Pacheco, sisters Tiofila Pacheco, Prudencia Montoya, Eliza Rodriguez, Evila Martinez, and Nada Romero and Priscilla Romero, sons Elmer, Harvey, Marvin, and Ricky Pacheco, daughters Patsy Dixon, and Desiree Pacheco, grandsons Lenny, Simon, Danny Pacheco Jr., Alvin Trujillo, great grandson Robert Rodriguez, sons in law Isidoro Dixon, and Benjie Martinez, and his long-time good friend Elmer Sandoval
He is survived by his sons Harold (Cecilia) Pacheco, Danny (Doris) Pacheco, and Randy Pacheco, daughters Diana, and Beverly Pacheco, grandson who was like his son Kevin Pacheco, grandsons Marvin Pacheco Jr., Robbie Pacheco, Leon Martinez, Rocky Dixon, Adam, Nikko, Tino, Jonathan, Brian, Lionel and Isidor Pacheco, granddaughters Pamela and Lorrise Dixon, Makayla, Dora, Martina and Julie Pacheco, Olivia Aragon, Janelle Chavez, Sonya, Shenel, Sabrina, Mariah Zarate and many more.
Arquin worked in Los Alamos as a cement finisher in the 1950s to 1980’s. He also worked for Zia Company. He was always working in his ranches in Truchas. Arquin loved to go to the Casinos. He loved all his family dearly with all his heart. Arquin had a good heart for everybody. He was always happy and enjoying himself. His favorite things to watch were Bananza (Cowboys) and Wheel of Fortune. He enjoyed going to car shows with his grandson Kevin Pacheco, and son in law Benjie Martinez. He met a lot of different people throughout his lifetime. He will be missed by all of those who knew him. We all are happy that God lent us an amazing person for 91 years.
A public visitation will begin on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, NM. A Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM with a burial to follow at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery in Truchas, NM.
Serving as Pallbearers are Marvin Jr Pacheco, Leon Martinez, Kevin Pacheco, Adam Pacheco, Harold Pacheco, Randy Pacheco, Andrew Rodriguez, and Robbie Pacheco.
Honorary Pallbearers are Anthony Rodriguez, Dianna Pacheco, Miranda Pacheco, Pamela Dixon, Beverly Pacheco, Rocky Dixon, Micheal Panas, Chris Martinez, Jonathan Pacheco, Brian Pacheco and Vanessa Pacheco.
