It was extremely saddening to see the news that Prof. Arthur Aronson has passed away. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this obituary note. I had the great honor to be a postdoc in Prof. Aronson's lab during 1997-1999. He was an affectionate mentor who was always concerned about the career of his students and postdocs.
I have fond memories about Prof. Arthuthur Aronson and Margie Aronson. An unforgettable incident was the day I landed in a 10 seater aircraft at the Purdue university Airport late at night on 13th January 1997 when a heavy snow storm was in progress. Coming from South India, to me it was as if I had landed on another planet. When I entered the airport reception area, I was pleasantly surprised to see Prof. Aronson waiting to recieve me. He drove me to his beautiful house in Capilano, W. Lafayette, and let me stay there till I found an accommodation.
There are so many sweet memories about him which I shall always cherish. I so dearly miss Prof. Aronson. May his departed soul Rest in Peace.
