Arthur "Art" Ferguson Obituary
Arthur "Art" L. Ferguson, age 84, of Willmar and Atwater, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on Monday, December 16, 2024, with his niece Jenny and her husband Brian by his side.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by his celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Atwater. Military honors will be provided by the Willmar American Legion Post. www.petersonbrothers.com
Arthur “Art” Leroy Ferguson was born on October 20, 1940, in Atwater, Minnesota, the son of George and Alice (Miller) Ferguson. He grew up in the Atwater community, graduated from Atwater High School in 1958 and attended Brown Institute for radio announcing. He served briefly in the U.S. Army prior to a medical discharge. Art worked for many years at Hanson Silo Company.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, Alice & George Ferguson of Atwater; three brothers, Carlton (Alice) Ferguson of Willmar, Luvern (Corinne) Ferguson of Willmar, Dale (Eva) Ferguson of Inverness; and three sisters, Louise (Jim) Hartman of Paynesville, Janet (Arlie) Bomstad of Plymouth and Adele (Ron) Harvey of New Hope.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; besides other relatives and friends.
