One of the greatest musical artists that the City of New Haven ever produced - from his time with The Catalinas in the 1950s to The Van Dykes in the 1960s and beyond. Art was the consummate artist and performer and a great person. He will be greatly missed!!!

My sincere sympathies to his family, his loved ones, and his many friends.

Art was one of a kind. We were best friends and we supported each other everyday through texting and telephone chats.
I will forever miss him.

I met Art about 20 years ago, online. We met for walks and Louie´s Lunch, and my grandson´s hockey game and more. He was great company, and beyond that, kind, generous and so personable. Art had a wonderful zest for life. Sent me "flowers" and best wishes. I didn´t know how serious his illness was. God bless him.

I remember Art way back in the 50´s, when I was a young girl. He was in a singing group with my brother Tom. At the time the group wascalled the Catalinas and later, the Van Dykes. They would practice most weeknights in our home in New Haven Connecticut. These are happy memories of my childhood and my teen years that Art (Artie) was a part of. I am so sorry that he suffered so much in his old age. My condolences To Jonathan and Heather; Alison, Argie and Arturo; and all of Art`s siblings.
Love and prayers to all
