Arthur Dunn Jr. Obituary
Arthur “Art” George Dunn Jr, 88, husband of Peggy Robinson Dunn, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Born on September 10, 1935 in Spartanburg, SC. Arthur was the son of the late Arthur George Dunn Sr and Olivia Dunn. Arthur was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway in 1998 after 31 years. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. In addition to his wife of 65 years, Arthur is survived by his brother Rick Dunn (Gennie); his daughters Cindi Shockley and Mitzi Price; grandchildren, Tarah Shafer (Berry), Jerrica Pruitt (Paco), Josh Price (Victoria), and Nichales Price; five great grandchildren, Brantlei Shafer, Brayden Shafer, Aspen Pruitt, Brecken Pruitt, and Denver Pruitt. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Betty Slaughter, Dorthy McMillan, and Henry Dunn.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 13, 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens with full military rites, officiated by Rev.Gary Hensley.
