Arthur Escueta

Arthur R. Escueta, 82, of Paramus, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He was born in the Philippines in 1942 and immigrated to the US with his family in 1987. Arthur received his degree in Agriculture at Gregorio Araneta University and worked as a respected agriculturist in the Philippines. To support his young family, he worked as a Nurse's Assistant at Dewitt Nursing Home in New York City for 20 years. Arthur enjoys gardening, playing chess, bowling, going to the movies and listening to Elvis Presley songs. Arthur loves treating his family to restaurants and spoiling his two granddaughters. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, Paramus.
Cherished husband of Nena Escueta (nee Bueno). Loving father of Marilen Carré, Julia Escueta-Acosta and her husband Reus. Loving Lolo, to Sophia and Bella. Arthur came from a family of 13 children. He is survived by his sister Violeta "Beth" Layo, brother Basilio Escueta, and sister Livinia "Baby" Villanueva.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, 234 N. Farview Avenue, Paramus. Entombment to follow at the Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ.
