Arthur was born January 22, 1925, in Galesburg, the son of Axel Theodore and Ida (Johnson) Greenquist. He married Edith F. Parke on November 5, 1943, in Gadsen, Alabama. After 70 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on July 18, 2013.
