Arthur W. Guhde

Arthur W. Guhde age 95 of Wickliffe, passed away April 28, 2024. He is the beloved husband of the late Adeline (nee Iczak); dear father of Susan, James (deceased), David (Lynn), Tom (deceased), Kathy Maniglia, Maria Keri (Anthony); grandfather of Andrew Maniglia, Anthony Keri, Elizabeth Keri Watts, Nicholas, Will, and Jack Keri, Brian Guhde and Emily Douthit, Isabel Geva and Rebecca Guhde; great grandfather of Tyler Maniglia and Adeline Keri; brother of the late Virginia, Patricia, Lorene, Don, Bob, Norma, and Bill.
He was a graduate of Ohio Universityin 1950, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and played football for four years. He and Adeline were married 72 years before her passing. He worked most of his career with Reliance Electric, and was also a well recognized high school official in football, basketball and baseball throughout Northeast Ohio for 40 years. In addition, he was a dedicated volunteer at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (65 years), Special Olympics (40 years) and the City of Wickliffe Zoning Board (40 years). He was inducted into the City of Wickliffe Hall of Fame and the Ohio High School Football Officials Hall of Fame.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe. Private interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
The family will receive friends at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby on Friday from 5-7 PM.
