One of the first people I met at Armco Research was Art Johnsen during my initial job interview in 1964. His friendly, caring attitude and his interest in my future was a major reason I chose to join Armco. I always considered him to be a fair and just supervisor who was always interested in helping those around him. He was a gentleman in all his relationships and I considered him a close friend. Remembering Art gives me warm feelings and memories about my years at R & T. Blessings to his family and friends.

I had the privilege to serve with Art on the board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters in the 80's. He was most thoughtful and insightful, and defined the term gentleman. I treasure the opportunities I had to play golf with him at Shaker Run and watch as he enjoyed the nature around him. These were times shortly after the death of my father, and spending time with Art was so comforting. He truly was a gift to the community and the many fortunate folks whose lives he touched. Rest in Peace Art.
