Arthur Kavina

Arthur Lynn Kavina, age 68, a Manitowoc resident, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 25, 2024.
He was born June 18, 1955, son of the late Wenzel Otto and Eva (Sandner) Kavina. Arthur attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1973. He married Jean Kluck and she preceded him in death on June 20, 2020. Arthur was employed at Weyerhaeuser of Manitowoc for over 40 years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Arthur is survived by close friends as well as several relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jean Kavina; his parents: Wenzel and Eva Kavina; his brother: Helmuth Andrew Ludwig; as well as other relatives and friends.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Immediately following the memorial service, a reception will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Arthur will be laid to rest at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2601 South 14th Street, Manitowoc.
