Arthur Knapp Obituary
Arthur F. Knapp Sr. “Buck” 90 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Saturday August 10, 2024. Born in Trenton, NJ he lived in Ewing Twp., NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 26 years ago. Arthur was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War and he worked for Delaval Turbine in Trenton, NJ. Buck as he was known to his friends, volunteered for the Ewing Twp Civil Defense and later for the Citizens on Patrol in Little Egg Harbor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf and was an accomplished musician and accordion player.
Arthur was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Emma Knapp and sister Elsie Stevens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Tina Knapp, daughter Renee Steinfeldt and husband Mike of Delanco, NJ, sons Arthur Knapp Jr. and wife Anna of Boydton, VA and Joseph Knapp of Little Egg Harbor, sister Margaret Swanhart of Ewing Twp., NJ grandchildren Crystal Hoffman and husband Brian and Brian Knapp and wife Nikki and great grandchildren Benjamin, Cameron, Lucas and Jaxon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024 from 1pm until the Memorial Service at 2:00pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
