Arthur "Art" Lloyd LaRue, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, passed away on November 18, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born on August 29, 1935. Art proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Kay, on March 1, 1958 at Berkley Community Church. Art made his career as an auto body repairman, retiring from Oakland Dodge in Madison Heights. Art loved playing golf, watching all sports, and was an avid Michigan fan, Go Blue! He was a life member of the Royal Oak Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Canadian Legion, and American Legion.
Beloved husband of the late Kay F. LaRue. Loving father of Rick (Paula) LaRue, Steven LaRue, Pamela LaRue-Frohriep (ex-husband Mark Frohriep), and Kimberly (Tom) Szydlowski. Proud grandfather of Nicole Grabowski, Corey LaRue, and Josh LaRue. Cherished great-grandfather of 4. Dear brother of Cinie, Ed, and Jackie. Art will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
