I worked for Art out of his home in Brewster in the mid 70's and view him as one of the best surveyors I have ever met. In the days before total stations and computer programs that would do your calculations, we did everything by hand and I have never met a person more meticulous than Art. I took what I learned from him and used that knowledge in my surveying classes at Clarkson College.

Art was a true professional and well respected. My father, also a PE-LS was a reference for Art to obtain his PE and held him in the highest regard.

I'm sorry to hear of his passing, but know the knowledge that he imparted on his surveying students will reflect well on their careers as land surveyors and the profession as a whole.
