Arthur Page Obituary

WESTERLY - Arthur Vincent Page, of Westerly, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, just one day shy of his 79th birthday, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on July 12, 1946, Arthur grew up in Westerly and graduated from Westerly High School in 1965. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, laying the groundwork for a life defined by hard work, service, and deep-rooted community values.

Arthur proudly served in the Rhode Island National Guard, reflecting his dedication to both his country and the ideals he lived by.

For many years, Arthur and his brother Richard Ernest Page were the proud co-owners of Art Page and Sons, a respected waste management company well known in the region for its reliability and commitment to service. Later, Arthur transitioned into real estate, bringing his integrity and strong work ethic to his roles as an agent with Weichert, REMAX, and Century 21.

Above all else, family was the most important thing to Arthur. He was a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a proud, caring grandfather. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with those he loved most, and his dedication to his family was unwavering.

Arthur will be remembered not only for his kindness and his ever-present smile, but also for his wonderful sense of humor. He genuinely enjoyed making people laugh, and he had a special gift for brightening any room with his quick wit and good-natured spirit. His generosity, warmth, and laughter left lasting impressions on everyone he met.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Gavitt Page, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership; his daughter, Wendy Page Arruda (Mark); and his son, Joshua Arthur Page (Michelle). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nolan Evan Arruda, Olivia Rose Page, and Gavin Paul Arruda. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws, all of whom will always carry his memory in their hearts.

Arthur was predeceased by his infant sons, Jason Page and Jason's twin brother; his sister, Cecilia Anita Lindberg; his brother, Richard Ernest Page; and his parents, Arthur E. Page and Cecilia Jones Page.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19th at 11am at Second Baptist Church, 12 Stillman Rd, North Stonington, CT 06359.

Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Arthur's memory to HopeHealth.
