Arthur Joseph Paquette, known affectionately as Art by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, in Newburgh, NY, at the age of 82. Art was born on April 23, 1943, in Manhattan, NY.
Art grew up in the bustling city of New York, where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for sports. After completing his education at a local trade school, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a construction plumber-pipefitter.
Art had a great love for sports, whether he was playing in his youth or watching in his golden years.
He leaves behind his wife, Agustina Paquette, who was his partner in life's journey for sixty years. Art was older brother to Paul Paquette and brother-in-law to Phyllis Paquette. His children are Linda Hardick, Michael Paquette, and Joseph Paquette. His nephews are Kevin Paquette, Christopher Paquette, and Thomas Paquette.
Art's role as a grandfather and great-grandfather was one he embraced with joy and pride. His grandchildren, Heather Maida, James Hardick, Staci Hardick, and Anthony Hardick, and his great-grandchildren, Christopher Hardick, Isabella Maida, Dominic Maida, Niko Hardick, and Enzo Hardick, were the apples of his eye. He delighted in their accomplishments and joy.
As we bid farewell to him, we take solace in the countless memories he has gifted us. His legacy will continue to be celebrated by all who knew him.
As we honor Arthur Joseph Paquette's memory, we are reminded of the impact one life can have on so many. Rest in peace, dear Art, until we meet again.
