Arthur Gene Pleasant

Arthur Gene Pleasant, age 95, of Chaska, MN, passed away on March 17, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, her five siblings, and her husband, Ray. Survived by daughter, Margo Ingraham: son, Kevin (Leslie) Pleasant; grand-children, Justin (Angela) Ingraham, Rachel (Eyob) Ingraham, Trent Pleasant and Taylor Pleasant; grand-children; Sydney Ingraham and Maximus Ingraham; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Arthur Gene volunteered in the community with a focus towards working with locally based women-centric Civic and Christian organizations and clubs in the Twin Cities and Midwest Region. During the 1990's, Governor Arne Carlson selected Arthur Gene to serve on a judicial selection committee. She often wore her AKA pin on her clothing as a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She had good fortune and a deep passion for participating in sports into her early 80's. Arthur Gene was in bowling leagues, golf leagues, softball leagues and volleyball leagues, where she took great joy winning against women less than half her age. Her greatest joy was winning board and card games against her family and friends at home and at the family cabin.

Grave site funeral service and interment Wednesday, April 22nd, 12 PM at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Cemetery, 9940 Bush Lake Rd. Bloomington.
