I was a colleague of Art Smith when he taught at Marshall Middle School in Houston. He was such a gentle, caring man. Had I known in time, I would have made the trip to San Antonio to celebrate his life. I was blessed to know him. My condolences to his family.

Art was so much like the mockingbird that sings through the night.

My deepest thanks to Mr. Smith and Ms. Martha. Though faded with time, my memories with Mr. Smith will always be filled with a great fondness. He and his family showed us kindness and what the true spirit of being a neighbor was. My prayers are with him and his family. Mr. Smith, may the Lord bless you and keep you. ❤ you'll be missed.

One of the most "gentle calming" educators who I have had to privilege of working with. RIP Arthur!

It's in times like these when the loving promises of our Heavenly Father can bring you comfort and can even soften some of the pain that you are feeling deep in your hearts.-1st Thessalonians 4:13,14

When I think of Mr. Smith, I always think about what a nice and caring man he is. He befriended my mom at Marshall Middle School and treated us like family. May he Rest In Peace and my deepest condolences to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. -Mikee Baltazar
