Arthur "Fuzzy" Staten Jr.

Mr. Arthur Edward "Fuzzy" Staten, Jr. of Winchester passed away from this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Southern TN Regional Hospital in Winchester at the age of 66. He was born on October 5, 1956, in Winchester to the late Arthur "Bib" and Henrietta Staten. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Andy" Staten. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend whom God called to be with Him.
Fuzzy accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Beans Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Huntland, Tennessee at a young age. He attended Elementary and High School in Franklin County where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He worked for several years in the road paving industry and the Franklin County School system. He loved all sports but especially the Minnesota Vikings. His biggest source of joy was his family and friends. When he was younger, he lived in Belvidere with his grandmother Clara and cousin Ken where they became more like brothers. Fuzzy was a friend to anyone in need and to know him was to love him. As a result of his home going, Fuzzy will forever be missed, yet not forgotten by his loving family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tomeka Allgood; grandchildren, Tierra Allgood and Jadyn Allgood; sisters, Jennye Hill and Jeanelle Staten; brothers, Henry "Squeaky" (Annette) Staten and Reggie (Lisa) Staten; aunts, Charoline, Ela (John), Mary Ann, Lena, and Yvonne, uncle, Edd (Valerie); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Elk River Tabernacle with a Celebration of Life Service following at 12:30 p.m.
Interment: Simmons Cemetery, Mingo, TN
