Arthur Samuel Summers

Arthur Samuel Summers departed his life on May 16, 2010 at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. Arthur Sr. was born on May 7, 1932 in Michigan. He and his late mother Alberta Summers moved to Newark, New Jersey where he grew up and then moved to Jersey City, New Jersey. Company in Jersey City, New Jersey where he build radios and TV*s. He opened *Arties Radio & TV Service* on Monticello Avenue where he repaired local neighbor*s televisions and radios. While at Emerson he met his beloved wife who went into heaven in 1999. After work at Emerson he and his family resided in Hillside, New Jersey where he attended the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections Academy and graduated to become a retired Corrections Officer from Rahway State Prison. Arthur loved Crossword puzzles and loved King of Queens comedy show. He loved to collect old phonograph records. He liked Barry White, Diana Ross and the Supremes and Aretha Franklin as well as Dionne Warwick. Arty as everyone called him, loved his wife and children of which Louella and Dave are now deceased and awaiting his arrival in heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory, children Arthur Summers Jr., Sharon Rene Summers, Byron Summers, daughter-in-law Donna and grandchildren Shayla and Christian Summers as well as his sister, Viola Mayrant and nephews, Isaiah and Andy Mayrant. He leaves his cousins, Elizabeth Nelson, Marie Nelson, Uncle William Borum and a host of family and friends.
