Arthur Ludwig Temme

Arthur Ludwig Temme, 82, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born on March 16th, 1943, in the White Plains, New York, Arthur was the son of Franz and Frieda Temme.
Arthur proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and distinguished career as a Boiler Room Engineer at Oceana Naval Base.
In his retirement years, Arthur greatly enjoyed traveling. A man of many passions, Arthur was a devoted motorcycle enthusiast who loved attending rallies. He also found joy in sports cars, relishing long road trips behind the wheel. To maintain his health and vitality, Arthur enjoyed taking long walks daily. He was also an avid lover of music. Arthur was known for his quirky humor, his kindness, and extreme generosity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Robin Temme Gay of Kingston, New York. Arthur is survived by his loving daughter, Sharon Temme Nicolosi, and his son-in-law, Robert Nicolosi, of Boonville, New York, and Wendell, North Carolina. Arthur is also survived by beloved friends, neighbors, and co-workers, whom he considered family.
In accordance with Arthur's wishes, there will not be a viewing or a formal burial. He will be cremated, and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Details regarding the memorial service will be announced in the near future.
