I had so many good times with SFC Tyree. We shared an office together at Fort Meade, Md. He touched so many people. He was a man that lived everyday of his life. He still lives in so many hearts today...God Bless you My Friend & Rest in Peace.

I am at a lost for words. Tyree was a dear friend that I have been trying to contact for years. We met at Redstone Arsenal in 1990. The memories that I have of Tyree only bring a smile to my face. Plain and simple Tyree was my dog! My prayers go out to the Tyree family, especially Lisa, Katina and Karen. He was such a pleasure to be around. I just found out today about his death doing a internet search. My heart is breaking over this news. Tyree is truly a friend that can never be replaced. I was the best man at his wedding...I am so hurt. Again my prays are with the family.

Lynn and I joined the Army together in 1987 and were Battle buddies in basic training. I called him in 2007 to plan a re-union together. We never had a chance to see each other, but we were still connected. I do feel reluctant but he will always be my Battle buddy!

To Tyree's Family:
I received word this morning of our loss. Those who remember me, know that I am rarely at a loss for words. Tyree used to say that I talked too much, for a white boy! I was stationed with Ty at Redstone in Huntsville, and had the pleasure of meeting his family when I drove him home to pick up his car. You all made me feel like part of your family, and I knew right away why Tyree was always on the square. He came from a great family and always showed compassion for those around him. I have only spoken to him a few times since the late 80's. And for that I am sorry. Anyone who reads this should remember to never take great freindships for granted! Life is short. Even for someone who was bigger than life, like Tyree.
God speed, my freind!

Today a part my heart is sadden. I heard from a mutual friend of Tyrees' death. Tyree was a very good friend to me, my family and friends. He came into our lives by way of Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Always made you smile. God has truly received a blessing (Tyree) in his house. He will always be missed and loved.

I knew SFC Tyree from Tampa Recruiting Battalion from 01-04. He always had a smile on his face and no matter what he always seemed to lift my spirits. He always spoke of his family and he adored his baby girl. I know this is a hard time in his loved ones lives and I am praying that God strengthens you all.

Tyree you are in a beautiful place right now. I am sure you and other angels will surround your family with the peace they need! RIP, my brother!

Arthur's smile had not changed in twenty years at our reunion in the fall of '07. We are all better for knowing Tyree and the impact he had our lives. To the family and friends of Arthur, knowing that he smiles on us still is the only thing that makes our loss bearable.

To the family of Arthur,
I graduated with Arthur in 87' from Fluvanna and wanted to reiterate the other posts on this site. Arthur had an infectious smile and personality that was unmatched by anyone I have met. I had the fortune to see him after 20 years at our reunion last year and it was great to see that over time Arthur had certainly grown up but had not changed a bit. He was as good as it gets as far as human beings. Family, you did well and we thank you. Lastly I want you to feel my tremendous amount of thanks for having the memorial in Fluvanna for the people who could not make the trip to Alabama. That was as classy a thing during a rough time as there is heard of. Thank you and be proud of what you have done and who he was.

Tyree always made the lives of others around him happier. I worked with Tyree from 02-05 as a Recruiter in Florida and he was one of the great ones out there. Wish I could have thanked him for keeping my morale up and watching out for my little sister at Ft Meade. May God bless him, his family, and all the people he has touched for we all have been blessed to have known him.

SFC Tryee was a great brother of mine. We were not brothers by birth, but brothers who meet on the square. We shared great moments together over the last two and a half years, and I will miss him like he was in birthed by my mother or father. I'm looking forward to seeing him again in another life. No matter what happens, my Cable-Tow will extend from here to heaven where I know he is spreading the word and riding free in the wind. God Bless his family and all his beloved friends abroad and at Fort George G. Meade Maryland.

To The Family,

No words that I or anyone can say that will take away the pain.

Nothing can replace the void we all feel at this time, but God will fill our hearts with joy in His on time.

As many has stated, I was stunned to hear the death of our friend. There is so much to say about Arthur, however, I just want to remember that million dollar smile. He always made me laugh, but most of all he was a friend that you knew you could count on. Arthur, will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Thank you for serving our country. Now you are with God’s army, you can shine and smile as you march through the gates of heaven.

Love always to my friend, Arthur Tyree.

Tyree Family, may God comfort and bless you all at this time of your loss.

Dear Family and friends:
Please be advised that I have moved. I received a call the other day from God the cheif architect. He informed me that my mansion was ready. On September 4th, 2008, he told me to go ahead and inform my loved ones of my new address. My mansion is furnished and what a sight it is to behold!
It is located on an estate behind the pearly gates. The streets are paved with gold and everyday is Sunday. I can walk and talk with our father without worry or care. I have lived in Maryland and my new mansion is much more glorious compared to any other place I lived.
There is peace, love, joy and happiness here. No more pain and sorrow, only sweet serenity. I will dine at my Father's table and sing with heavenly choir. I have my own designers who have fit me with my own white robe and wings.
I could go on and on and tell you about my new mansion, but I am going to pray that you will get to move here someday and see it yourself. Now before I go, let me remind you, I will be looking for you to send me many prayers to:

To the family of Arthur,

Words could never express the way that I feel at this moment. I will always remember the bright smile that Arthur had, no matter when I saw him. I will also remember the times that we use to play together, cut up in Church, etc. I remember us being at Buckroe Beach together, and instead of making sand castles we use to throw sand at each other, and that was many years ago.

Please know that the family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I am so very saddened to learn of Arthur's passing. I went to school with him at Fluvanna, and cherished him as so many did. He was the most outgoing and fun-loving person I knew, and I was honored to call him friend. Arthur was the reason I got up to go to school every day.

I attended my 10 year high school reunion with the hopes that Arthur would be there. He was, and I got to take a picture with him. I am so pleased we got to take that picutre together. I have it in my photo album at home, and will never remove it. Even though I haven't seen him in a while, I think of him often, and I will miss him greatly. His memories will be with me the rest of my days.
