Arthur J. Vascik

1947 - 2022

Arthur J. Vascik, 75, of Buffalo Township, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness. He was born April 28, 1947, in Tarentum, to the late Joseph and Virginia (Jannello) Vascik. Arthur lived the past 50 years in Buffalo Township and was a field engineer for Eastman Kodak in Greentree for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Arthur graduated from Tarentum High School in 1965 and was a WPIAL swimming official, NCAA swimming official and a WPIAL football official. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Kathy (Liles) Vascik; his sons, William J. (Michele Meanor) Vascik, of Avalon, Kevin A. (Debbie) Vascik, of Friendswood, Texas, and Scott M. (Ashley) Vascik, of Falling Waters, W. Va.; and grandchildren, Danica, Joshua and River. Also surviving are his siblings, Bernadette Vascik, of Leeper, Elaine (Joe) McCullough, of Tarentum, Celeste Kennedy, of Port Mugu, Calif., Raymond (Cynthia) Vascik, of Kittanning, Michael Vascik, of Marienville, and Gerald (Lora) Vascik, of Milton, Fla. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Monday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, with the Rev. Dr. Frank M. Yesko, officiating.
